ABSEILING

If the idea of throwing yourself off a wall gives you the shivers, then this is the activity for you. Abseiling is the controlled descent of a rock face using a rope. Climbers use it to descend quickly, easily and safely when a cliff or slope is too steep and/or dangerous to descend without protection. The abseiling sites are on limestone, which is one of the main features of the Maltese islands, and climbing is offered to beginners and enthusiasts alike on different routes and landscapes around Malta and Gozo.

The main wineries organize guided tours and tastings. Their cellars are among the oldest and most interesting, dating back over 400 years to the time of the Knights of St. John.
